geometry improv'd

Wysteria_1i went to NYC to visit my sister & jo last weekend.  there was good food & fun times even though lee had a ton of work to do.  i went to her office friday night straight from the bus & met her office mate who is very proud of his strange creature (red & black flames.)  the weekend after next i'm going to visit my mom & dad down south, it's also a family reunion of sorts.  i hope to get some sewing done on my mom's gorgeous bernina.  maybe i'll mail supplies ahead of me...
i cut out piles of creatures until i ran out of pins, but there are many more fallen between the floorboards!  my goal is to have 100 strange creatures for renegade in june.  i can do it, but only if i stop knitting!  i made that many back in december, but i got up every morning at 7am & sewed before work & sewed til late at night when i came home.  i was kind of burnt out afterwards, but it was still really fun.  i enjoy really intense work like that, getting completely sucked in.

so, the knitting...  right now i have 2 different clapotis on my needles.  dammit.  why did you teach me to knit?  enabler.  i knew i shouldn't have gotten into it, i don't have this kind of spare time - i don't leave the house as it is!  i made several scarves & then i started clapotis in Noro silk garden, but got confused & messed something up.  so i started another one in cheaper yarn that frogs easily with bigger needles so i can see what i'm doing.  it's making much more sense, i knit all through craft night & then til 3am when i got home.  (i also blame west wing all week for that.)  i really can't afford all the pretty hand-dyed yarns i'd like to buy, perhaps after renegade.  or maybe some of you ladies would like to swap?  although from one craft-at-home lady to another, i think they are all well worth the cost & respect the time & effort it takes to spin & dye your own yarn.  or any craft.
